The Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted "free shredding day" for local businesses and residents in a public push for identity protection. Jim Ellsworth, owner of Waterford's Shred-MAX, a local document destruction/recycling company, offered on-site shredding of secure documents that needed to be properly destroyed. Marie Hauswirth, executive director of the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce, said the response "was wonderful and people were so gracious that we offered this free program."
